Axicon Auto ID is a world leader in barcode verification, having developed and manufactured our own verifiers since 1989. Axicon barcode verifiers are used across the globe and are fully compliant with the international ISO/IEC standards for both linear and matrix bar codes. These verifiers are used to measure the quality of printed barcodes, on all levels of product packaging.

Axicon Auto ID
e-Cert is a remote checking and re-certification service for all Axicon barcode verifiers. We supply a set of specially produced barcode test cards, a new calibration card, and instructions about how to use them and upload the results to an Axicon web platform. Axicon’s technical staff will assess the results, and if the verifier passes we will supply you with a new certificate of conformance that lasts for one year.

The barcode being introduced is a conventional QR Code that encodes a web link that uses a GS1 defined data structure; this means it can be used by consumers with their smartphones, as well as by retailers at their points of sale.

The Axicon 6515 midrange barcode verifier is designed to verify linear barcodes with a maximum width, including quiet zones, of 125 mm or 4.9″. This means it can be used to check all GS1 symbols used at the retail point-of-sale (EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A and UPC-E, GS1 Databar), those used on outer cases (EAN-13, ITF-14, and GS1-128), and on logistics labels (GS1-128). For anyone printing barcode labels using a 100 mm (4 inch) wide printhead, this verifier is perfect.

Axicon has launched its new Axicon 6100-S barcode verifier, an evolution of the Axicon 6000 series of verifiers, which can be used to check the linear barcodes typically used on retail point of sale items. This includes all the EAN/UPC and GS1 DataBar barcodes, as well as Code-128 barcodes that are no wider than 69 mm including their quiet zones. We now have added the ability to crop the image. This is very helpful when decode takes a long time due to a busy label. Simply left click on the image when in scanning mode and the software will draw a box. You can make the box larger or smaller by left clicking again closer or further away from the centre of the image. Right click on the image to remove the cropped box. www.axicon.com
